Fat Bees Clearer Boards incorporate externally closable Bee Access Ports and remain permanently under honey supers. When bees are filling the super, the access port remains open. When ready to harvest, the port is manually closed so bees are only able to leave the honey super but not return because of the triangle one-way bee escape.

After 24 hours when most of the bees have exited, remove the super and harvest the honey. After extracting, replace the empty super on top of the still closed hive. Opening the port allows bees to regain access to the super to refill with honey.

The Bee Access Port is opened and closed by moving the stainless steel slide using your hive tool. The special triangle design bee escape provides the quickest clearing of bees.
