Bee Safe migratory screens have extra design features that enable closed hive entrances(recommended) during transport. Closed entrances reduce drifting between hives during trucking. Migratory screens have added volume to accommodate bearding inside the screen, and bottom vents to provide a flow-through cooling effect for when entrances are closed for transport. Reducing drifting will reduce mite populations in individual hives and apiaries.
